According to 2016 data from Forbes and Phoenix Marketing International, California is home to 124 billionaires and more than 772,000 millionaires. Who better than them to work hard and value their leisure time. Why do you think they chose California as their place of residence?
Of course, most of the students are not (yet) billionaires, but in the richest and most populous state of the U.S. the opportunities for leisure are almost endless. So you can be sure that in their free time, California university students do not have to be bored.
The Golden State’s diverse nature – ocean and mountains, forests and lakes and even desert – offers plenty of opportunities for excursions, sports, tourism and outdoor activities.
Some of California’s most famous natural sites include: Yosemite National Park, Nature and Parks in Mill Valley, La Joya, Sequoia National Park with its unique giant trees, the picturesque Eastern Sierra Mountains, Lake Tahoe, the largest lava cone volcano on Earth, Lassen Peak, Joshua Tree National Park in the southeast desert, a favorite spot for rock climbers, and Death Valley, one of the hottest places on the planet.
California cities also offer an incredible array of attractions, including Hollywood and the Walk of Fame, Disneyland and Legoland in Los Angeles; the Golden Gate Bridge, the colorful Fisherman’s Wharf and the cable cars in San Francisco; the grand Railroad Museum; the historic lighthouse, which offers a spectacular view of the city; the California Capitol; and the many parks in Sacramento, the state capital.
